Working In Partnership

Cycling Projects works with occupational therapists, sports development, local councils, Primary Care Trusts' care support staff, as well as the support staff and parents of those pre existing services users.

Partnerships explore the opportunities for Wheels for All centres to work with other agencies, schools, the community and parents to improve learning, teaching & helping more people discover the love of riding a bike.

We value our partners and are always keen to develop new initiatives that can promote Cycling for All.

Opening Up New Paths

Wheels For All Training gives individuals, carers and support staff the confidence to work with adapted cycles for their clients or family member so that all can enjoy the benefits of cycling in a sociable environment.

The training is a mixture of both practical and theory based, with emphasis placed on developing practical skills. The training is interactive & provides an opportunity to work with a selection of cycles that are available in the all inclusive market and also look at the range of adaptations that can be added to cycles to accommodate clients different needs.

It also allows trainees to get practical experience that will help them deliver a safe and enjoyable Wheels for All session.

These courses followed by some monitored sessions lead to a Wheels For All Leader certificate of accreditation.

Friendly Group Activities

Surrey Wheels for All runs regular cycling sessions both after-school and at weekends.

We use mostly running tracks, one in Woking and the other in West Ewell. These tracks provide safe and flat locations for everyone to learn how to ride and to develop their cycling skills.

Woking

Sheerwater Track, Sheerwater Recreation Ground, Blackmore Crescent, Woking, Surrey GU21 5NZ

West Ewell

The Harrier Centre, King George's Recreational Ground, Poole Road, West Ewell, Surrey, KT19 9RY

What we do best

Surrey Wheels for All aims to enable everyone to experience the joy and benefits from cycling.

The main focus of Surrey Wheels for All is to offer cycling to disabled people. We have over 80 adapted bikes and we are confident that anyone can ride a bike regardless of their ability.

We offer sessions during the week and at weekends that are open to the public for cyclists of all abilities.

Our sessions are about recreational cycling where people can focus on fun and the health benefits of riding bikes.

We also offer families who want to experience cycling together and who may not currently be able to due to an individual family member's disability, the opportunity to have fun on wheels!

TESTIMONIALS

"I just wanted to say thank you to you and your team for the immense amount of work you put into the Surrey Supercycle. I saw another mother have the absolute joy of seeing her son cycling for the first time and you with your unending belief that he would do it." MS - Woking Group Parent

"Timi is 12yrs old who happens to live with Down's Syndrome with a Cardiac condition. He has been a child who has struggled with anything to do with his co-ordination and stamina. He has low muscle tone, gets tired easily and does not find anything needing great depth of co-ordination easy  to get on with. When we stated coming along to the Thursday cycling sessions I prepared myself for the long haul of waiting to see how Timi will take to cycling. After coming to the sessions the third time I couldn't believe the way Timi just got hold of this cycling  skills and he seems to be enjoying himself every sessions we have come to."
